Drug Offences

Criminal charges of drug possession or trafficking, or both, occur when defendants are accused of illegal possession of marijuana, ecstasy, heroin, cocaine, or methamphetamine. Offences related to “production” of drugs deal with operations for producing these illegal substances. If you have been charged with a drug offence, it is strongly recommended that you hire competent defence counsel to represent you in your case.

Common defences to drug charges include challenging the police investigation process, challenging whether the accused had knowledge or control over the substances in question, and – in the case of trafficking – challenging that the accused had the intent to distribute.

Cases involve drug possession, trafficking or production can have far reaching and grave consequences that go way beyond just a courtroom trial.
